Mail Notifier Agent ("we", "our", or "the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

  • Account Information:

    Your Google account name, email address, and profile picture, obtained via Google OAuth sign-in.

  • Email Data:

    Your Gmail messages are accessed via the Gmail API with gmail.modify scope when you explicitly request to view or summarize them. This scope allows us to set up real-time notifications for new emails. We do not modify, delete, or share your email content.

  • OAuth Tokens:

    Access and refresh tokens are stored securely in Firestore to maintain your session and enable continued access to your Gmail.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate your identity and maintain your session.
  • To fetch and display your email messages from Gmail, and to set up real-time notifications for new emails via the Gmail watch API.
  • To generate AI-powered summaries of emails you select, using the AliCloud Qwen LLM service.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except as necessary to provide the Service:

  • Google:

    We use Google OAuth for authentication and the Gmail API to read your emails.

  • AliCloud:

    Selected email content is sent to the AliCloud Qwen API for summarization.

  • Firebase:

    User data and tokens are stored in Firestore (Google Cloud).

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. OAuth tokens are stored securely and never exposed to the client. All API communications occur over HTTPS.

6. Data Retention

Your account data and tokens are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us, at which point all associated data will be removed.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Revoke access to your Gmail account at any time via Google.
  • Opt out of the Service entirely by signing out and revoking tokens.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
